Guilty while liberal

Posted by Guessedworker on Wednesday, 08 November 2006 22:55.

Our fine national media today reported the end of the trial of three Pakistanis, Faisal Mushtaq, 27, Zeeshan Shahid, 28, and his brother Imran Shahid, 29, for the kidnap and most cruel murder of 15-year old Kriss Donald in Glasgow in 2004.

Kriss’ murder was the worst racially-motivated killing ever to occur in Britain.  The life sentences reflect that and Kriss’ family have indicated satisfaction at their minimum terms of 27, 22 and 23 years respectively.  The sentencing statement of the judge, Lord Uist, can be read here, courtesy of the BBC.

The BBC also courteously informed us that racism and race crime is not actually an Original Sin of white people.  No, it has been “redefined “, apparently.  Now it can include black and Asian thugs.  One can only wonder what their race crimes were before the redefinition.  A bit of noisy joshing around, I suppose, while knifing some poor white bastard for purely economic reasons.

It has taken some appalling murders and the black v brown riots last year in Lozells to drag the liberal mind reluctantly towards this “redefinition”.  And now we see why the coverage of Kriss’ case has been so shamefully absent until today.  It’s the same reason the BBC felt compelled to put the “redefinition” piece on-line.  They are trying to slip-slide away from the charge that for decade after decade they have played a venomous game with race.

Remember this?

Racial violence: The ugly facts

Late one night last November, Sanjay heard a noise outside the front of his house. A circle of rowdy teenagers were on the lawn. They were throwing small stones at the door and window of his house where he lives with his mother and two sisters.

“Go back to your own country,” one shouted. “Get out and don’t come back.”

The other things they said were too awful to repeat, said 20-year-old Sanjay - not his real name.

Sanjay lives in a council house in Greenwich, south-east London, just a few miles from where Stephen Lawrence was murdered in 1993. While most racial incidents don’t end in murder there are dozens like this every week ...

How to avoid getting a well-deserved, red-hot right-wing poker up your liberal jacksie, that’s the BBC’s problem now.  And that’s what the long silence and the sudden “redefinition” are really about.  Quite disgusting intellectual cowardice.

Perle jumps ship pointing finger at Patsident Bush

Posted by James Bowery on Wednesday, 08 November 2006 00:31.

The LA Times reports that:

Richard N. Perle, the former Pentagon advisor regarded as the intellectual godfather of the Iraq war, now believes he should not have backed the U.S.-led invasion, and he holds President Bush responsible for failing to make timely decisions to stem the rising violence, according to excerpts from a magazine interview.

So The Inner Party Line for the outcome of the election has been set:  “Don’t blame Republican losses on neoconservative promotion of the Iraq war.  What happened there is the President’s fault not ours.  “

Jim Kalb about turns

I know several MR regulars have the highest opinion of Jim Kalb.  For me, he is one of the two most thoughtful bloggers on the traditionalist right (the other being the more politically “big C” Conservative Mark Richardson).

After a blogging lay-off of some months Jim is back in harness with some new posts at Turnabout.  I’m sure he would welcome your patronage.

Dateline never: Tancredo meets with Euro-American leaders on Hispanic threat to south-west

Posted by Guessedworker on Tuesday, 07 November 2006 17:28.

By Sam Ross, Houston Chronicle Correspondent

In a meeting last week in Denver, one of a series of meetings on planning the future of the Euro-American people, former U.S. Rep. Tom Tancredo took part.

Tancredo had accepted an invitation from the Euro-American Policy Planning Institute to be one of a group of leaders tasked with setting strategic goals for improving the situation of the Euro-American people.  Last week’s discussion centered on the Hispanic threat to the south-west.

Participants agreed that one serious problem generated by La Raza leadership’s comments and Mexico’s ability to ignore Euro-American pressure and continue its migrant program is the resurrection of a debate within the Hispanic world and in liberal America about the very existence of Euro-Americans in the south-west.

In the early 2000s, it seemed that La Raza had made peace with the Euro-Americans of the south-west, even if not all Hispanic radicals agreed with that.  But now, the idea of a south-west without Euro-Americans seems to have been rekindled.  One participant in the meeting said that Tancredo considers this very dangerous.

The participants also agreed that the broadest possible political coalition must be formed to curb La Raza’s plans.  Among other things, they discussed the idea that black Americans also concerned by La Raza might become allies on this matter.  One participant called the prevailing atmosphere “very serious, even gloomy.”

OK, it’s just a fantasy.  But then we aren’t Jewish.

Kissinger meets with Jewish leaders on Iranian threat to Israel

By Shmuel Rosner, Haaretz Correspondent

In a meeting last week in New York, one of a series of meetings on planning the future of the Jewish people, former U.S. secretary of state Henry Kissinger took part.

Kissinger had accepted an invitation from the Jewish People Policy Planning Institute to be one of a group of leaders tasked with setting strategic goals for improving the situation of the Jewish people. Last week’s discussion centered on the Iranian threat to Israel.

Participants agreed that one serious problem generated by the Iranian leadership’s comments and Tehran’s ability to ignore international pressure and continue its nuclear program is the resurrection of a debate within the Arab world about Israel’s very existence ...

Free at last! Thank Bluehost, we are free at last!

Posted by Guessedworker on Tuesday, 07 November 2006 17:07.

Well, hopefully.  We are now relocated to a high capacity server.  So the troubles that stretch back several months, on and off, should be behind us.  There are still some unsolved mysteries that we may now never have an answer for, not least how it was that the pressure-periods seemed to be created by processes the blog did not generate.  If we didn’t, who did?

Anyway, excelsior.  One interesting factoid that arose from the investigations mounted by James and JR is that our Bluehost stats (aw and Webalizer) reveal a far higher traffic than indicated by the EE software - close to 50,000 hits a day throughout October, despite the server problems.

You are all most welcome, and I hope from now on that the blog will be operating with 100% efficiency.  That will shortly include the restoration of much functionality that we closed down to try to keep the page alive.

So, with apologies for all the problems and with every finger crossed, it’s on with the show ...

A march in Russia, Part Two

Posted by Guessedworker on Monday, 06 November 2006 23:12.

I posted a while back on the petition raised in support of anti-immigration marchers in Moscow.  The petitioners got their day out, and you can see five pages of pictures here.  There were a lot of police and security people about and, apparently, 500 marchers arrested.  No violence was captured on film by the photographer.

Some items of news from the Sunday papers

Posted by Guessedworker on Sunday, 05 November 2006 09:50.

Three-quarters of black males in Britain are on the DNA database.  Blame white racism.

Lip-flapper Trevor Phillips - The E-Man - has been making those smooth, self-promotional moves again.  This time:-

Race watchdogs are to investigate the national DNA database over revelations that up to three quarters of young black men will soon have their profiles stored.

Trevor Phillips, the chairman of the Commission for Racial Equality (CRE), vowed to examine whether the database breached race relations laws following the findings by The Sunday Telegraph. “This is tantamount to criminalising a generation of young black men,” he said.

An estimated 135,000 black males aged 15 to 34 will be entered in the crime-fighting- database by April, equivalent to as many as 77 per cent of the young black male population in England and Wales. By contrast, only 22 per cent of young white males, and six per cent of the general population, will be on the database.

... Mr Phillips disclosed that his officials will investigate whether the policy of retaining DNA from suspects who are never convicted of a crime results in discrimination against black men, who are more likely to come into contact with police than their white counterparts.

... “As enforcers of the Race Relations Act, the CRE will be investigating if this complies with the race equality duty to promote positive race relations. If we discover that the database fails to comply with the law, than we have to consider what legal steps we can take.”

The new figures, calculated from the Home Office’s own projections, will fuel fears that Britain is becoming a “surveillance society” in which some ethnic groups are monitored more closely than others.

So many questions go unasked here ... and all to maintain the fiction that multiracialism can work.

Low IQs are Africa’s curse, says lecturer

One man who does have an answer is LSE lecturer, Satoshi Kanazawa.  But then he is that evil old thing, a sociobiologist.

The London School of Economics is embroiled in a row over academic freedom after one of its lecturers published a paper alleging that African states were poor and suffered chronic ill-health because their populations were less intelligent than people in richer countries.

Satoshi Kanazawa, an evolutionary psychologist, is now accused of reviving the politics of eugenics by publishing the research which concludes that low IQ levels, rather than poverty and disease, are the reason why life expectancy is low and infant mortality high. His paper, published in the British Journal of Health Psychology, compares IQ scores with indicators of ill health in 126 countries and claims that nations at the top of the ill health league also have the lowest intelligence ratings.

Glamour and emptiness, organic culture and Nationalism

Posted by Guessedworker on Saturday, 04 November 2006 10:19.

Stephen LaTulippe has a fine essay at Lewrockwell.com that repays a read.  It draws the battle lines between what he calls a Postmodern and an Organic society.  Here are a few passages:-

He begins with some reflections on the long-running HBO TV series, Sex in the City.

For those who haven’t seen it, Sex and the City tells the story of four thirty-something single women living in New York City. They live a life that, while all too common today, is perhaps unprecedented in human history (especially for women). They are completely deracinated and homogenized, having no discernable family, either nuclear or extended. They have no religious convictions. Their life consists mostly of wandering around Manhattan, eating in chic restaurants, maxing-out their credit cards in fashionable boutiques, and engaging in a bewildering variety of casual sexual relationships.

... In essence, their lives are more akin to that of animals than to anything that could be called genuinely human. They live lives dominated by impulses and sensations rather than by the intellect or the spirit, lives of indulgence rather than of purpose. They reside in the “eternal present,” without regard for the future and without reverence for the past. Even more disturbingly, their lifestyle has a spooky passivity to it, a sense of slavery to their vices. If someone takes them to a swanky Thai restaurant, they’ll eat. If someone hands them a martini, they’ll drink. If a handsome guy appears, they’ll copulate.

That is, in a nutshell, the sum total of their existence. Their post-modernism really isn’t a culture, but an anti-culture. It’s what people do in the absence of authentic culture…it is a downward spiral into the abyss. These women are, admittedly, an extreme example. But the beauty of art lies in its ability to harness archetypes for the purpose of making social and political commentary.
